CGAL, as part of its commitment to environmental protection, entered into the clean energy generation field through the construction of a wind farm for Sedena (National Defense Ministry). This project calls for the supply and installation of five 3 000 kW at 34.5 kv wind generators, including electrical substation, transmission lines in medium and high voltage, employee training and start-up operations. The project calls for engineering, procurement and construction for:
- Installation of 8 202 ft of medium-tension electrical network (34.5 kv) for the wind generators interconnection to the farm’s own voltage elevation substation.
- Electrical power substation from 34.5 kv to 115 kv, with a threephase transformation bank with a 15/20 mva capacity.
- A 17.7 mi-long high-tension transmission line at 115 kv, one circuit, three phases with lattice tower structures and foundation pilings for the wind farm interconnection with the Ixtepec Federal Power Commission substation.
