From March, 2009, to February, 2010, CGAL executed the project for the pavement structural rehabilitation and complementary works on the Mexico-Querétaro Freeway, Tepalcapa-Palmillas section, between kilometer 106+500 and kilometer 90+000, in both directions, with a length of 10.25 mi.
Works consisted in expanding both bodies by excavating as necessary, and afterwards with through a stabilized base and re-leveling with asphaltic concrete, provide enough space for the placement of a hydraulic concrete pavement structure (resistance to flexural tension of 682.75 lb/ in2) with three lanes in each direction and a single transversal slope in each body.
The widening of three overpasses was also effected, as well as the construction of a vehicular underpass to connect better the surrounding communities.
