Through a national public bidding process, Tradeco Urbana was awarded the building and equipping of the Chiapas Solidary Medical Center. The scope of the work included preparing the executive project, the execution of it, the provision of furniture, equipment and medical instruments, as well as the start-up. Pursuant to the architectural medical program, the hospital has four medical areas, composed of the following resources: medical attention, formed by five clinics, 30 practice offices and 11 cabinets; diagnostic auxiliaries, integrated by imaging, clinical laboratory and pathological anatomy; treatment auxiliaries, with emergencies, transfusion services, surgery and obstetric units; hospitalization, with 180 beds, divided into the internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and pediatrics specialties, as well as intensive and medium care units. It must be pointed out that it also counts with a heliport for emergency services.
This hospital will service not only Tuxtla Gutiérrez, but all of the state. Attention is on an open population basis, benefitting more than 547 000 inhabitants, and is an addition to current medical attention facilities and the great hospital program in Chiapas.
